Differentiated Instruction (Darlyne de Haan)

This workshop will help teachers determine what differentiated instruction is and is not, why it is appropriate for all learners, how to begin to plan for it, and how to become comfortable enough with student differences to make school comfortable for each learner who comes their way. This workshop is a good blend of hands-on activities, collaboration among peers, and direct instruction. Tasks will be differentiated based on the results of a questionnaire that will be sent to those who sign up using Google Docs.
Edulastic Online Assessments (Christa Capriotti)

Edulastic is a platform for personalized standards-based assessments for K-12 students, teachers and school districts. It provides a highly interactive, cloud-based learning environment for students and teachers. It helps teachers and even districts get a deeper insight into their students’ understanding. This program allows EHT to create customized next-generation assessments with items from our own curriculum. The professional development will focus on how to create a Google Classroom and the importance of the classroom with Edulastic. It will provide a hands-on learning experience using Edulastic and Google Classroom in order to help you drive your instruction with your students.
Google Forms for Online Assessments and More (Alicia Harte)
August 22nd (Beginner)
Using Google forms and the add-on flubaroo is a simple way for teachers to assess their students without spending excessive time grading. Data is automatically compiled and organized into a spreadsheet, which makes comparing among PLCs quick and easy. Participants will also learn how forms can be used to make administrative functions easier including collecting staff data, and surveying parents, students, and staff.

Already a Google Forms user? Come out and get the opportunity to see how add-ons and extensions can be used to take your forms to the next level. Learn how data inputted in forms can be used to create new PDF documents with vetted data from your forms and more.
Google Drive – Docs, Sheets, and Slides (Leanna Mullen)
August 9th (Beginner)
The objective for this workshop is to understand the benefits of using Google Drive. Participants will learn how to use all the features while creating shareable documents and folders that can be used when collaborating on projects.
August 17th (Advanced)
If you have already had some experience in Google Drive then this is the course for you. After building on the Google foundation in the previous course, we will take Google Apps for Education to the next level. Explore the workflow of Google's unique Form application by translating data into Spreadsheets. This course will also introduce Add-On components for grading tests and some code-changing scripts and formulas.
Microsoft Excel with Google Sheets Leanna Mullen
August 10th (Beginner)
This workshop is meant for beginner Microsoft Excel users. In this workshop participants will learn the basics of spreadsheets. We will start with the basics and “Excel” into more advanced topics. Come learn how spreadsheets can be used to increase your job efficiency. We will also look at Google Sheets and how it can be used to create collaborative spreadsheets.
August 16th (Advanced)
If you have an intermediate understanding of Microsoft Excel this is the course for you. We will begin with learning some advanced functions and formulas, and then build draw data with real Infinite Campus information. We will also further explore the similarities and differences between Microsoft's Excel and Google Drive's Spreadsheets to create collaborative spreadsheets.

Get to Know Google Classroom. See how to use this learning management system to distribute and collect assignments, communicate with students, and encourage online collaboration and learning. Discover how to create multiple courses and manage different sections of each course. Explore the potential of this new online learning community. Experience Google Classroom from the student and teacher perspective. Some background in Google Drive and Docs will be helpful for this course.
