During this hour I will walk staff members through using the OnCourse Lesson planning tool. I help them set up templates, format lessons, add homework or assignments to lessons, and more. Each attendee will also learn how to save files into their OnCourse curriculum folder and add them to lessons, which will also link their assignments to their website and calendar.

Using Google forms and the add-on flubaroo is a simple way for teachers to assess their students without spending excessive time grading. Data is automatically compiled and organized into a spreadsheet, which makes comparing among PLCs quick and easy. Participants will also learn how forms can be used to make administrative functions easier including collecting staff data, and surveying parents, students, and staff.

Attendees will learn what EdPuzzle can offer in the classroom, while working on creating their own video resources for students. Attendees will leave with a solid understanding of how to find, edit, add notes, and create assessments with feedback for students. During the session participants will be expected to create at least one video to use with their students.

Edulastic is a platform for personalized standards-based assessments for K-12 students, teachers and school districts. It provides a highly interactive, cloud-based learning environment for students and teachers. It helps teachers and even districts get a deeper insight into their students’ understanding. This program allows EHT to create customized next-generation assessments with items from our own curriculum. The professional development will focus on how to create a Google Classroom and the importance of the classroom with Edulastic. It will provide a hands-on learning experience using Edulastic and Google Classroom in order to help you drive your instruction with your students.
